How To Get Away With Murder (HTGAWM) follows Annalise Keating(Viola Davis) and her minions as they defend people in court and try to unravel the murder mysteries that surround them.
Viola Davis has become the first African American to win an Emmy award and the show that got her the well deserved award is back with a new season! How To Get Away With Murder had a very interesting first season with not one but two murders that shocked viewers. But after one season things do tend to get repetitive.
Case in point: The adorable Wes(Alfred Enoch) has now become a broken record with his “Oh poor me” dialogues.
But the show decides to get people hooked in my adding in a new character. Please welcome
Jean Grey Eve ,a smart looking defense attorney who is friends with Annalise.
She’s here to add spice to the narrative and that she does. You’ll just have to watch the episode to find out how.
Spoilers for season 1 start now
Rebecca’s murderer is revealed pretty quickly. You’re hit with the answer to that question before you can even get enough hints. It’s almost as if the creators are in a hurry to just reveal the MAJOR twist of the first season and move on. ‘Someone got murdered? Here’s the murderer for you. Now let’s get on with other stuff already’ seems to be the general thought process of the creators.
How to Get Away With Murder has one of the most shocking endings that just hook you in.It is chock-full of flashbacks. The best part of the show is how it explores human behavior and psychology and Viola Davis of course!
Even if you do get away with murder…. What next?
Overall the show has not lost it’s mojo even in the second season. Viola Davis is brilliant as ever. The narrative is full of twists and turns and the background music and endings do not disappoint.
I cannot wait to find out what happens next!

Now I discuss some spoilers for this episode so read at your own risk.View Spoiler »The bisexual angle of Annalise is shocking but a little unbelievable. There was absolutely no chemistry between her and Eve. They’re no Callie and Arizona(Grey’s Anatomy reference) but maybe that’s on purpose. You never know with HTGAWM.
The ending well, it was INCREDIBLY shocking. The fact that Annalise is shot came out of nowhere and is one of the most fun twists that I have ever come across. It’s nice to see that HTGAWM doesn’t shy away from such twists. « Hide Spoiler
